Organized as a non-stock and non-profit organization, The LIiDA Law Firm represents clients directed to us from local Commonwealth attorney offices and local domestic violence non-profit organizations. We only take cases for emergency, temporary, and permanent protective orders referred to us from those organizations and work tirelessly on behalf of our clients to give them the representation in the courtroom that they deserve, but often due to circumstances beyond their control, cannot obtain on their own. We strive to make sure that the financial burden of representation is mitigated as much as possible, through funding from the non-profit organization LIiDA and by asking the courts to levy the cost of representation on abusers, stalkers, and harassers.
Our dedicated team of full and part time attorneys, office assistants, and law students work around the clock to make sure that victims of domestic abuse in Central Virginia get the representation they deserve. Meet them by clicking on the button below.
Have an active law practice in Virginia? Interested in taking or assisting in more pro-bono work? Even working full time and around the clock, The LIiDA Law Firm is unable to provide representation to every client in Central Virginia that needs it. The LIiDA Law Firm would be happy to assist you if this is the kind of work that you would be willing to take on in a full time, part time, or case by case basis. Talk with us and lets see how we can help more people together.
LIiDA is our primary fundraising organization. They are a non-profit organization that raises funds that help cover the costs of representing victims of domestic violence, stalking, and harassment. After expenses, the money that LIiDA raises comes to us to mitigate, or in some cases, eliminate, the legal fees associated with many victim's representation. Please visit liida.org and donate today!
